Era Achievements
David was the winner of multiple competitions across Gwent
and Torfaen from 1986-1989. He also placed 1st and 3rd in
the KUGB Welsh National Championships in 1988.

1998–1999
Aylsham School of Kickboxing
Following his transition into Freestyle Point Kickboxing,
David Hitchman established and coached the
Aylsham School of Kickboxing
(A.S.K., also known as the ASK Tigers).
The club developed a competitive programme, with
contemporary martial-arts publications recording
ASK competitors achieving podium finishes.
1998 — Dave Spiller Memorial Day Trophy:
Fighters magazine, January 1999, records
A.S.K. competitors Sian Billington and Abigail Horton
achieving 2nd-place finishes.
10 January 1999 — EMA Open Series, Boston:
Martial Arts Illustrated, Vol. 11 No. 11, records multiple
ASK Tigers podium finishes at the Peter Paine Sports Centre.
These contemporary publications provide independent documentation
of ASK’s competitive activity during this period.


David was a proud member of the RAF Karate Squad from
1995 to 1999. 
In 2001 he established the Bordon Kickboxing Club based
in Bordon, Hampshire. During this time, he opened a
satellite club in Arborfield Barracks which was run by
Richard Dunnell 1st Kyu – Later passing 1st Dan under
Sensei Hitchman
